Birds Eye View

When we were in York we climbed the central tower of the Minster - 275 steps and 230 feet up in the air.

I liked these shots as they do not look like any other shots I have seen of York - its not that people have not taken them before, its just that images of 'classic locations' are dominated by 'classic shots'.

Anyway, here are the pictures.

You can find more shots from around the world at Our World Tuesday.

  2. Yes they are very atypical of the common images of the place. It is like just in the country!

Worth the climb I'd say! I particularly like shots three and four and if really pressured I'd pick #4 as the winner!!! YAM xx

  5. Interesting perspective. In some ways it resembles a medieval town.

  8. It's so strange how the old houses all run together in Europe.... no rhyme or reason to streets or pathways...there must surely be pathways between some of them? ... or are they all common walls? ... love the views.... roof tops and chimney pots... love it.
